I've been wanting to share this project by designer Phil Cuttance with you for a number of reasons. Firstly the geometric, faceted design is bang ON-TREND at the minute, secondly these vessels have been creating a lot of interest in the blogosphere lately, and thirdly, because I thought the moody colours were right up your street! They look so dark and moody but so earthy at the same time. I absolutely love them. The Faceture collection consists of these lovely light-shades, below, vases and side tables.
The collection is made by designer Phil Cuttance and all pieces are created individually meaning no two pieces are the same. You can see the machine that is used to produce these pieces on his website here, where there is also a video where you can see him in action. The video is worth a watch as you get to see a real artisan at work. Plus the hip machine is worth a look too!
Phil makes his work in the above colours (pink, charcoal, blue and yellow) but can produce custom colours too. Each piece is hand-stamped and numbered at the base so you know you really are getting an individual piece. Check out his website for more projects by the designer.
